Learning so much about God’s Word

A big part of Joy El’s Staff training time is studying the Bible passages that we will be teaching the campers this summer. We want the counselors to engage with God’s word so they will have a full understanding before they teach it. The immediate benefit for staff is personal life transformation.
We use a method of observation, interpretation and application. Observation Interpretation and Application developed by Howard Hendricks.
I just listened to a counselor tell me, “I have never experienced reading the Bible from so many different translations. I am learning so much about God’s word”. His eyes were opened.
I agree with the Psalmist. “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119:130). I have seen it happen many times.
God’s Word is inspired. Bible based is a core value at Joy El. We are excited that campers will connect with Him as they attend our Christian camps in Pa.
