Joe, a former native of Long Island, New York, attended Grove City College and received his bachelors degree in both English and History in 2012. He also holds a Masters degree from Wheaton College in Christian Formation of Ministry with an emphasis in Outdoor Adventure Leadership, which he earned in May 2016. Joe's camp ministry background includes two years of serving at Honey Rock camp in Wisconsin and two summer of service at Seneca Hills Bible Camp in western Pennsylvania. Joe is excited to be taking on the role of Program Director here at Joy El. Joe has been married three years to Jordan, a high school math teacher who also has a long camp family history. Joe's favorite pasttimes include music, reading, thinking with people, playing disc golf and backpacking.
A scripture verse that has much meaning to Joe is Psalm 139:5: "You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me."
